What Are Floating Shelves
Floating shelves are storage shelves that look as if they are part of the wall by maximizing wall space. Need a resting place for books, dishes or even spices? Then we have a solution. Our totally solid custom 2” thick shelves are made of local hardwoods found right here in North Carolina. They are very popular because they give a clean look and are very sturdy for various applications. Our most popular floating shelves are our 1 ½” butcher block that comes in 7 different types of wood. Our most popular and best seller is Teak.
How Do Floating Shelves Work? Floating shelves work by being mounted to the wall that has wood or metal studs, brick, or block. The brackets that you will receive are made from a metal shop right here in the US. Our brackets are easy to install with detailed instructions enclosed in your floating shelf order. There are different types of brackets to suit your needs and come in a variety of sizes. Our unique design is patent-pending, so every bracket is built with a specific design, so they are consistent in manufacturing.

Custom Floating Shelves
There’s nothing worse than seeing shelving in a home that looks like it has just come from a DIY store and the brackets take away from the aesthetics of the design. The trend in modern shelving is of course to hide the brackets to make the shelves look like they are a deliberate part of the design and give an illusion of floating. This is why floating shelving is far more pleasing to the eye and of course is part of modern storage solutions. The after paint process involves the part of the design that includes shelving whether it is meant for your kitchen, bathroom or even the home office.
